I came up with this title because I had just watched one of Bill Alexander's videos on oil painting and was inspired to try and paint a landscape. In case you didn't know, Bill Alexander is the man that taught Bob Ross how to paint and hosted a painting show on PBS before he passed the torch to Bob Ross. He also would use the term " Happy little trees". I painted this using the program Mypaint and it was a fun challenge to try and take what I learned from oils and apply it to a digital medium .
My great-grandmother watched Bill Alexander a lot, according to my mother. I have a few of her paintings hung up around the house. I started watching both of them to see why she liked them so much. Now I understand, they really are like a form of therapy XD. And educational to boot.
